Join this panel of experts to peel back the onion on DCIM. Understand the methodology, best practices, and solutions that make up DCIM. Learn how the largest data centers are building the case for projects that speak directly to the business executives. Hear first-hand how the fifth largest bank in the US is using DCIM solutions today to solve their biggest data center challenges and proving a substantial and measureable return in energy costs and other operational expenses as well as extending the life of their data centers.
Today’s data center executives are dealing with skyrocketing costs and inefficiencies in infrastructure management that are threatening to stifle business growth and agility. At the same time, these same executives must navigate the unknown impact of looming regulatory action in the U.S. Most data center managers are looking for visibility and information to manage power, cooling, and space to meet existing infrastructure capacity and future business demands. In response, leading industry analysts — Gartner, Forrester Research, and the 451 Group — suggest that Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) is the answer to keep data centers from becoming costly energy guzzlers or performing below optimal levels.
Gartner reports that DCIM has already been proven to reduce operating expenses by as much as 20 percent. They add that this is not a wait-and-see situation, but a crucial moment taking action. Other research shows that DCIM can reduce the time to deploy new servers by up to 50 percent, extend the life of a data center by up to five years, and help attain a power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 2.0 or less.
